HOLISTIC EDUCATION & THERAPEUTIC SERVICES FOR CHILDREN

I practice a heart-centered approach in working with kids.

Using a variety of modalities (mindfulness, play/project-based, expressive arts, nature-oriented), I guide children in educational and developmental matters, empowering them to be their unique selves, and help build cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual resilience.

Professionally, Brittni is one of the most dedicated, creative, and passionate teachers I have encountered in my career as an administrator in Costa Rica. Brittni consistently stood out as a leader, a naturally gifted visionary, and an inspiring educator and mentor to her students. She possesses a wonderful balance of gentle nurturing, and unwavering high expectations for her students and for herself.

Brittni is a strong, confident leader and communicator, qualities that are highly respected by her peers, supervisors, and students. She consistently advocates for herself and her students, is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. She both supported our community as a compassionate one-on-one mentor to a child with specialized behavioral needs, and as a specialist Project-Based-Learning (PBL) workshop teacher for small groups of multi-aged children.

In addition to inspiring advocacy in our children, Brittni personally participated in community-coordinated conservation initiatives during her time with us. Partnering with Envision Festival, she supported Life Project Education’s reforestation PBL as well as our partnership with Reserva Playa Tortuga by supporting community-wide beach clean-ups.

I have also had the pleasure to get to know Brittni personally throughout her journey in Costa Rica. I can confidently say that she is incredibly loyal, honest, confident, and in full integrity to her clear mission to raise the vibration of childhood through holistic education. Brittni was a gift to our community center and I am confident she will bring the same energy and passion to her future projects and ambitions.

I utilize the Circle of Courage Philosophy which is based on the Native American Medicine Wheel, rooted in four universal growth needs of all children: belonging, mastery, independence, and generosity. I was raised in a region of Canada surrounded by some intact Native American traditions, which deeply influenced my being.

Parent Testimonial: “We feel so lucky to have found Teacher Brittni while in Costa Rica. Our eight year old daughter really connected with her and was so happy to be doing art together and feeling like her work was being taken seriously. Ms. Brittni is a rare blend of kind, compassionate and inspiring-holding space for her students to be creative and imaginative but also organized and thoughtful enough to bring out their best work. We are so grateful for the time she spent with our daughter!” - Tracy Chait
